William "Billy" Leonard Boat ( Phoenix ( Connecticut ), February 2 1966 ) is an American former racing driver.
Career [ edit ][]
Boat drove from the season 1996-1997 to 2002 in the American Indy Racing League championship. In 1998 he won the race at the Texas Motor Speedway . It was his only victory. He drove a 2002 last full season to return for one last Indy 500 to drive back. Ankle in 2003 He drove his 63 career IndyCar races and moved nine times from pole position , including one at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway in 1998. His best result at Indianapolis was third in the race in 1999 . He has an auto parts company, that for his IndyCar career began has founded for ten years.
