Deadmau5 (pronounced as dead mouse , English for "dead mouse ") is a Canadian producer and creator of, among other progressive house , electro house , trance and dubstep .

Deadmau5 is the stage name of Joel Thomas Zimmerman ( Toronto , January 5 1981 ). He really became famous when his number Arguru on Tiësto 's remix - CD In Search of Sunrise 6 Ibiza appeared. In November 2008, he released his debut album Random Album Title from. It shows including the hit singles Faxing Berlin and I Remember , the latter is a collaboration with DJ and producer Kaskade and singer Haley Gibby . His second album For Lack of a Better Name was published in October 2009. Although this album was presented as acompilation album , contains only private, on an unprecedented studio album productions appeared. It is what experimental than Random Album Title . The third album 4x4 = 12, was released in December 2010. The fourth album > Album Title Goes Here < appeared in late September 2012. [1 ][2]

Deadmau5 is known for wearing a helmet-like costume in the form of a cartoonish muizenkop during his performances. The design for this he designed while 3D learned to use. programs[3] The muizenkop he also uses as a logo .

The name came about because Zimmerman found a dead mouse in his computer while his video card replaced. This he spoke to people in chat rooms , and these people are increasingly associating him with the story. Zimmerman was eventually call themselves deadmau5 as shortening deadmouse ("dead mouse").

The 5 from Deadmau 5 (which is used instead of a s ) is Leet . Furthermore, "Maus" the German word for "mouse".

Before Zimmerman became known as deadmau5 produced music under the name Halcyon441. [source?]

  • In 2010, Zimmerman's hit single was Brazil (2nd Edit) by Alexis Jordan used as instrumental segment of its own single Happiness . In the same year used Kylie Minogue 's song Brazil (2nd Edit) as a basis for its own song Change Your Mind .
