Emre Can (Frankfurt am Main, 12 January 1994) is a German footballer with Turkish roots. He currently plays as a defensive midfielder for Bayer 04 Leverkusen.

Club Career[Edit][]
Emre Can made his debut for Bayern Munich on 12 August 2012 won 2-1 in the DFL-Supercup match against Borussia Dortmund. He was allowed to start the match in the 70th minute and was only replaced by Holger Badstuber. After this he worked In the summer of 2013 Munich for Leverkusen. He signs a contract for four years with Bayer 04 Leverkusen. [1] Bayern Munich has the ability to Emre Can each year for a certain amount to buy back.

Emre Can was captain of the German national team-17 that third was on the WORLD CUP-17 in Mexico in 2011. Germany won 6 of his 7 games. In the semifinal against Mexico began Can a solo by at the midline. He passed three Mexican defenders and did the nets vibrate. Despite that goal Germany lost with 2-3 and they were out of the tournament. His former coach at Germany-17,Steffen Freund, gave him the nickname "Skipper".
Emre Can also has a Turkish passport and can therefore also for Turkey .
