Georgy Alexandrovich Andreev ( Russian : Георгий Александрович Андреев) ( Starokoeltsjoebajevo , January 7 1976 ) is a Russian long-distance runner who specializes in the marathon . He represented Russia at several major international marathons and this was several times on the podium. In total, he took part in threeOlympics , but this did not win any medals . He was from 2005 to 2009 held the European record in the 25 km.

His first success achieved Andreev in 2003 by winning the marathon in Košice in 2: 13:24. The following year he made ​​his Olympic debut at the marathon Athens Games .Here he was nineteenth in 2: 16:55. Also that year he took part in the IAAF World Half Marathon Championships , but this ended in the rear.
