Krisztián Kenesei (Budapest7 January 1977) is a Hungarian football player. He plays in the attack, as a centre striker. Kenesei started his professional football career with the Hungarian top Club MTK Budapest. On adventures in China and Italy after, he has only played in the Hungarian League. Szombathelyi Haladásplays the Ghanaian footballer, which plays in the Magyar Labdarúgó League.

MTK Budapest[Edit]Edit

Krisztian Kenesei signed a contract on August 25, 2003 at the Chinese Beijing Guoan. At the end of the 2003 season he even got a three-year contract offered by the Chinese. This offer he participated in, causing a prolonged adventure for the Hungarian in the Chinese League started. Despite that he came to play at a top Club, Beijing Guoan Kenesei was with no time champion of China. Though he won the Chinese Super Cupin 2004, at the expense of Shanghai Shenhua. Krisztián Kenesei should not the full three seasons at the club, based in the Chinese capital. 2005 was the year he was loaned out to his former club, Győri ETO FC. In January 2007 he finally departed from China, after having played 36 League games for Beijing, to get back into Hungary. He signed a contract with Vasas SC. At the club from Budapest, he played only ten games. Nevertheless, he managed to score six times. In the summer of that year he left because he got an offer of Italian Serie Bclub.

US Avellino[Edit]Edit

Krisztián Kenesei made on 30 July 2007 the switch from Vasas SC to the net to the Serie B at the time promoted US Avellino. As surefire Kenesei striker would have to ensure that Avellino would maintain themselves on the second level of professional football in Italy. He could not, however, mean a lot for Avellino. In 22 games, he managed to score only twice. At first it was Avellino also doomed to relegation, but it eventually took in the season 2008/2009 the place of the bankrupt FC Messina. However, Kenesei ou no longer play for Avellino. Because of his disappointing performances-he got to the end of the season as a 5.6 average mark ofLa Gazetta dello Sport -he returned to have played in Italy after one year back to Hungary.

Szombathelyi Haladás[Edit]Edit

Since the season 2008/2009 Szombathelyi HaladásKrisztián Kenesei at plays. The club was then just promoted to the top division in Hungarian Football. He surprised friend and foe with Szombathelyi by Magyar Labdarúgó as third to finish in the League. Thereby he was allowed to play in the preliminary rounds of the club Europa League 2009/10. In the first heat had to compete against the Kazakh club FC Irtysh Pavlodar. It was painfully survived. The second game was lost 2-1, but by a goal by Kenesei was home there before already won 1-0, making Haladás on UEFA coefficients. Kenesei by his goal was one of the first footballers who scored in the Europa League. This League, as a successor of the UEFA Cup, was played for the first time only in 2009/2010. In the second heat with Szombathelyi Haladás Krisztián Kenesei was however disabled by Sweden's IF Elfsborg. Plays the Hungarian still with Szombathelyi.

International career[Edit]Edit

Because Krisztián Kenesei impression made in the Hungarian League for the first time in 2000, he was allowed to sign in to the Hungary national team. On 29 March 2000, he made his debut against his colleagues in Poland. However, he had to wait two years before he would play his second international match. This was against Czech Republic. Two games later, against Moldova, he made his first international goal. Kenesei until 2005, was a regular player in the national team of Hungary. For a time he was even the captain. With his departure to China, however, he got less and less playing time in the Hungarian national football team. As a result, he played against Greece on 16 november 2005, however, in his last international match, where he scored. Kenesei played 29 international matches In total. In it, he scored nine times.
