Luketz Swartbooi ( February 6 1966 ) is a former Namibian long-distance runner who specialized in the marathon . He Namibian records held at the 5000 m , 10 km, 15 km, 10 English miles , half marathon , marathon and the 3000 m indoor. [1]

His greatest success achieved Swartbooi with achieving second place in the marathon at the 1993 World Championships in Stuttgart after the American Mark Pictures .

Luketz Swartbooi won nine times the Lucky Star Marathon in Swakopmund , the first time in 1992 with a national record of 2:10:01, and the last time in 2004. [2] In 1994, he ran the Boston Marathon a personal record of 2: 09.08. At the 2000 Olympics in Sydney he disappointed with an 48th place in the marathon in 2:22:55.

In 2005 Swartbooi received a warning from the IAAF for using Prednisolone / Prednisone .
