Maurice Friend (Horn, 9 January 1992) is a Dutch speed skater. His specialization is in the medium and long distances. He skated to his first seniors year with the team of Young Orange; in 2012 he transferred to the team of Jan van Veen that became Team Corendon in 2013.

Biography[Edit][]
Friend made his debut at the highest level in 2010 with the seniors. At the Dutch single distance Championships 2011 he came on the 1500 meters to a creditable 14th place. On Sunday 18 november 2012 debuts a friend on the World Cup in Heerenveen and know in it with a personal best of 1: 46.13 directly a victory in the 1500 metres. He surprised friend and foe with it by, among other things, Håvard Bøkko, Ivan Skobrev,Koen Verweij and reigning world champion Denny Morrison .
A friend is a member of skating club STG Koggenland.
