Mladen Petric ( Dubrave , Bosnia and Herzegovina , 1 January 1981 ) is a Bosnian - Croatian footballer who plays as a central striker preferred. He signed in August 2008, a four-year contract with Hamburger SV , which him with Borussia Dortmund swapped for Mohamed Zidan .  Currently Petrić is under contract with Panathinaikos FC . In November 2001 he made his debut in the Croatian national football team , where he played more than forty international matches. Petrić could play for the football team of Bosnia and Herzegovina , because of his Bosnian roots.

After his birth the family moved to Petrić Vinkovci and later to Neue Hoff . There he began playing football the local FC Neuenhof. In 1996 he was included in the youth of FC Baden , where he debuted two years later in professional football. Petrić relocated in 1999 then to Grasshoppers , which he was in 2000/01 and 2002/03 Swiss champion in the seasons. After he switched to FC Basel in the summer of 2004, he thus became that year's champion of Switzerland again. During the celebration of the Swiss Championship at Grasshopper, Petrić put a scarf of FC Basel on fire. This was a year before his move to the same club.
Petrić was in the 2005/06 season with fifteen goals good for fourth place in the high score list. In that season, he played for Basel all twelve UEFA Cup matches and scored three times. In the quarterfinals, he was with Basel disabled by Middlesbrough FC .
Petrić signed on June 11, 2007 at Borussia Dortmund to thereby in the Bundesliga to play. Bought as a playmaker in a '4 -4-2 with ruit' system, noted Dortmund out he better go spits.In served as his first season in the Bundesliga, he came in the top three of the top scorers list.

Petrić debuted for Hamburger SV on 23 August 2008 in a 2-1 home win overKarlsruher SC , as a substitute for Jonathan Pitroipa the 73rd minute. He scored his first goal for HSV on September 13, 2008. That goal was the winning directly in a 3-2 victory over Bayer 04 Leverkusen .
After five years in Germany to have played Petrić continued his career in England . Fulham FC reported on the official website of the club on 28 June 2012 that the Croatian striker has put his signature under a one-year contract at Craven Cottage . Petrić comes on a free transfer from Hamburger SV, where he had an expiring contract. I'ma big fan of the Premier League and it has always been one of my wishes to ever play. in this competition Fulham is a great club for me. Petrić made his debut for West Ham United FC on September 21 2013 against Everton FC , where the team lost 2-3 Petrić. Petrić played a total of three league games for West Ham United FC and a match in the English football league cup, the League Cup , because of problems with injuries. In every game Petrić came as change in the game. End of December 2013 broke West Ham United FC's contract Petrić, which ran until 30 June 2014.  The club and I had the right to terminate the contract. during the last days of the year If West Ham had not done that, I would have done it. When I came here, they said that we would play with two strikers but that never happens. I could no longer continue , said the Bosnian Croat few days later. I need to find a team where I will play, because that is the only way to become a candidate for the World Cup in Brazil. 
Petrić soon found a new club in the country of his wife Despina, namely Greece . After Danijel Pranjic and Gordon Schildenfeld is Petrić third Croat among the Greeks this season.  Petrić signed a contract for one and a half years with the club from Athens . This made the Greek club on its official website known. The Swede Marcus Berg , a former teammate of Petrić at Hamburger SV , said Petrić is topaanvaller and will really help us .
