Petter Andersen ( Lørenskog , January 2 1974 ) is a Norwegian skater . He grew up in Kolbotn , south of Oslo . He skating since he was six, and was at the eleven year-olds' Landesmester. He was not only interested in skating: also football and ice hockey competed for attention, and consequently he was a standout in any of these three sports.
In 1992 and 1993 he managed to obtain a few national junior titles, and so he could participate in the 1993 World Junior. He was 21th there.
In 1996 he became Norwegian Allround Champion and was able to participate in the World Allround Championships, but he was only 23, he was able to not qualify for the final 10 kilometers. His qualities are well in the shortest distances: the 500, 1,000 and 1,500 meters, he knows how to get the stage with some regularity during World Cup matches. At the European Championships 2002 in Erfurt For example, he won the 500 and 1,500 meters, but by disappointing results over the long haul (23rd in 5000 and 14th in the 10,000 meters), he is finally on that EK 'only' fifth: an excellent result but disappointing for a rider to win two of the four distances. At the World Championships in the same year in Heerenveen he wins again the 500 meters, but the 1500 meters is disappointing: ninth. He finishes eleventh.
His best result so far achieved Andersen during the World Distances from 2005 in Inzell , he won the bronze medal there with the Finn Pekka Koskela shared by third are in the 1,000 meters (behind the NorwegianEven Wetten and Dutchman Jan Bos ) .
